    Had dinner after visiting the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park thanks to a recommendation by the clerk at the NPS Bookstore. Home cooking, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Glad we visited rather than eating fast food on our way home.

    Very nice people. Excellent service. The navy beans and the turnip greens were good, but the rest of the meal was only so-so. The cornbread was "cake-like", light and fluffy. Maybe the norm for this part of the country. I don't know, but I prefer a heavier, grittier texture.
